Cricket Ball in Space

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) launched cricket ball into a space or to the edge of space, for the first time.

England and the Wales Cricket Board (ECB) released video of cricket ball sent in a space. This ball was attached with Helium balloon and reached about at 110,000 ft altitude. This ball was launched from Edgbaston Cricket Stadium in England.

During its free fall, the ball reached speeds of up to 500 mph, it traveled safely back to the earth due to parachute, landing in Newbury in perfect condition.

ECB planed this special experiment on the opening ceremony of local T20 Blast tournament held in England. A team of engineers figured out how to launch this white tournament ball at high altitude.
