Ogilvy apologises for showing Malala being shot in mattress ad

The advertising agency Ogilvy and Mather is responsible for using cartoon images of Malala in ad. This is an Indian ad and they used cartoon of Malala Yousufzai for the promotion of Indian mattress brand.

A series of images are show in this poster. Malala being shot by Taliban in her school uniform, falling back with full of blood and fall on mattress, after recovery mattress bouncing off and Malala ready to receive an award.

Ogilvy’s spokesperson, Greg Carton apologised to Malala and her family. He said, we strongly regret this incident and want to apologise to Malala Yousafzai and her family.
