Youngest female Muslim Mayor in India

New Delhi: In Gujrat, a state of India, a Muslims female named Afsana Muhammad Badeeh has made new history by becoming the youngest mayor of the village. The total population of KanKut village consists of 4,000 people and a Muslim mayor has always been selected since last 24 years.


Afsana take part in the official administrative meeting of the village (also known as Panjaiyt in local language) twice a week and then goes to her family farm on her bike, where she sells cow’s milk and artificial jewellery is also prepared at her farm. Afsana told media that she is working hard to provide farmers with adequate facilities. She is also very determined to arrange good educational facilities for the girls of her village.
